161. Stop Conforming to the World
Spend some time studying Romans 12:1-2. We are not to conform to the world and for ourselves. A good question to ask yourself is "What would Jesus do if He were me?". If we are anxious, overwhelmed, and hurrying - we are conforming.
Transformation begins with our thoughts. How do we change the way we think? We change what we feed it everyday. Are we feeding it the world or are we feeding it God's word?
How eager are you to grow and become more like Jesus? The answer to that question will tell you everything you need to know. We should have a desire to surrender, to grow, and to become more and more like Jesus. How do we transform?
1. Recognize our life is not to be all about me.
2. Our life is to be all about Him.
3. Be honest with ourselves about where we are.
4. Identify the lies we believe and exchange them with the truth of God's word.
5. Those around us should see a change in us.
